Columbus Guarini Scholarship

The Honorable Frank Guarini, CCF Board Member and Chair of John Cabot University's Board of Trustees, made a generous donation to the Columbus Citizens Foundation from which John Cabot University students may be awarded scholarships.

  • Be a study abroad student planning to attend John Cabot University
  • Be a United States Citizen/Resident of same status
  • Be at least 25% Italian descent
  • Maintain at least an 85% or 3.0 overall academic average
  • Demonstrate financial need. Total annual family income cannot exceed $200,000.


  1. To be considered for a CCF college scholarship, an online application and supporting documentation must be submitted by the deadline that contains detailed and confidential personal information. It must be submitted online to FACTS, an independent financial review company that will determine eligibility based on financial documentation.
  2. The CCF College Scholarship Committee reviews and evaluates the applications.
  3. The Committee invites select applicants and their families to visit the Foundation for a mandatory interview (in April/May).
  4. Approximately one month after all interviews have been held, the committee decides which applicants will be awarded scholarships.
  5. Parents/Guardians/Applicants are notified by mail of the committee’s decision.

How To Apply

The scholarship application process is now OPEN for the 2018-2019 academic year. Please read all instructions before applying. The application deadline is Friday, March 16, 2018.

STEP 1: Click here to download and print the 2018 CCF Columbus Guarini Scholarship Guidelines and the Academic Performance Verification Form that must be completed by a school guidance counselor or principal. The Academic Performance Verification Form can be found on page 3.

STEP 2: Click here for the 2018 CCF Columbus Guarini Scholarship Application.
- Create an account if you do not already have one.
- When prompted to choose a school, you MUST choose Columbus Citizens Foundation College Scholarship Program. DO NOT CHOOSE YOUR OWN SCHOOL. Later in the application, you will be asked to list colleges/universities you are applying to in order of preference. Please be sure to list John Cabot University.

STEP 3: Complete the online application and submit to FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment by the March 16, 2018 deadline.

STEP 4: Submit all required support documents directly to FACTS (by mail, fax or uploaded with your application) by the March16, 2018 deadline.

DEADLINE: The deadline for applications and supporting documentation for the 2018-2019 academic year is Friday, March16, 2018.
